SEEDS engages students in studies that address local environmental issues, cultural issues, and sustainable development.

VT SEEDS students, the Service Learning Center at Virginia Tech and other area schools are encouraged to explore the roots of our community which are firmly planted around our natural resources.

STUDENTS, GET YOUR WORK FUNDED! Since 1998, SEEDS has been working with The Cabell Brand Center to fund fellowships for students. Funds are now endowed with the Community Foundation of the New River Valley.

The fellowships are for advanced high school or college students to conduct community -based studies related to projects related to water and energy conservation, green environment, and local poverty and peace initiatives.
