Reservations and Payments *A $300 per person deposit is required to secure your reservation for this program and is on a first come, first serve basis. To secure reservations on a trip leaving within 70 days, full payment by credit card is required at the time of your reservation. Final payment for a program is due 70 days prior to departure and can be made by Visa, MasterCard or check. Due to our required maximum group size (only 14 people can participate at a time) our programs fill very quickly and we close our reservations 7-9 weeks prior to departure. We do have waiting lists for the programs. If you are put on a waiting list, you will be notified at least 70 days before the departure date of space availability. However, a last minute booking is subject to availability and may incur a higher airfare cost. * Institutions or groups wishing to contract with SEEDS, please email us DISCOVER@SEEDSGUYS.ORG Cancellations and RefundsDue to the nature of our programs and the support that the communities we work with in Kenya rely on, the following is our cancellation and refund policy. If you cancel your trip, you must notify us in writing. We calculate your refund on the day we receive written cancellation. All refunds will be processed within 30 days of receipt of your cancellation. You will be refunded in the manner in which you paid. Processing Fee: We realize the majority of those who cancel their reservations do so out of necessity. However, there is a non-refundable fee of $100 per person for each trip cancelled. This fee reflects only the cost of administering a reservation and is not intended to be punitive in any way. For all cancellations, we will refund you the cost of your trip less the following per person charges:
InsuranceYou must be covered by medical insurance that is valid overseas. We strongly recommend that you obtain travel insurance, including coverage for trip cancellation, loss and theft of baggage, and emergency evacuation. SEEDS cannot be responsible for these expenses. Please visit Quote Advantage on the web for information on travel insurance or call them at 1.800.388.9211. Health and FitnessOur program is not generally strenuous, but altitude, heat and tropical ailments may affect you adversely (travelers diarrhea is almost unavoidable!). In some cases, you may want to discuss these with your doctor. We are prepared with first aid and treatment aids for minor ailments. Your health and safety during your trip is our first concern, but you should be in good health to participate in our programs. First AidYour own personal first aid kit should, at the very least, include the following:
