Dave Deshler
Dave climbed Mt. Fuji in Japan when he was nine. When he got down he trekked through more than twenty countries, visiting and residing in Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America. The National Park Service employed him to do cultural and natural history research related to biogeography. He has invented and taught educational programs for museums and for schools both abroad and at home. Dave earned a B.A. in Geography from Virginia Tech and claims to have a degree of sorts in pogo-sticking.

Mike Rosenzweig
Mike grew up along the east coast of the USA with one foot on land, and the other in the ocean. He continued this amphibious lifestyle studying and teaching about life on Earth at community colleges, universities, museums, and elementary schools. Mike's MS & Ph.D. in Biology from Virginia Tech on the ecology of "underwater forests" is supported by visits and research in Europe, The Caribbean, North America, and Africa. When he is not sticking his hand in some primordial goo, he is sticking his hand in chocolate chip cookie dough.
