VT SEEDS Officers ’09- ’10

 

President: Walker Clement

 

Officer: Lucy Adams, lucya@vt.edu, is a junior wildlife science major at Virginia Tech. She loves digging in the soil, frolicking under the trees, and leading inquiry based learning activities. She also enjoys hiking, camping, backpacking, and reading Hamlet. Lucy is coordinating volunteers to develop exhibits and programs for the new SEEDS nature center.

Officer: Karla Piedl, piedlk89@vt.edu, Karla is a sophomore at Virginia Tech, doubling in Biology and Biochemistry. She
likes to think of herself as a life long SEEDS member, going back to the camps she attended as a kid. Karla enjoys
swimming, occasionally playing her violin and playing with her golden retriever, Giles.

Officer: John Pritchard, jopritch@vt.edu, John is a senior Biology major who plans on attending Pharmacy school.  His primary interest is the sustainability of plants used in modern medicines.  He has been an active SEEDS member since Fall 2008 and took on the role of Treasurer. John is interested in fundraising.

Advisor: Dr. Mike Rosenzweig, Virginia Tech Biological Sciences Outreach "Bio-SOuP"


Getting involved…

  • Join the SEEDS listserv so you can get e-mails about our activities, meetings, and news of what’s going on.  E-mail Dr. Mike Rosenzweig ruppia@vt.edu if you’d like to join the listserv.
  • VT SEEDS is working closely with the campus Coalition for Sustainability at VT to help promote the goal of being a true coalition.
  • Any organizations wishing to co-sponsor an event with VT SEEDS should contact the current club president (see above).
